Baseball bets explained
There are a variety of NASCAR betting options available on the web. In fact, you can make great money by simply betting on the event itself. Others prefer to indulge in some custom bets, perhaps making you a winner after you bet on a driver in the same race.
The money line is one of the most common bets on Major League Baseball. The two teams are given a money line and a favorite, underdog, spread. The money line is the amount of money you want to win for a game. In other words, for a $100 money line bet, if your team wins, you would win $100. If your team loses, you would lose the $100. So, in this example, New York is the favorite and the money line is +130.
One major benefit of baseball betting is that the money comes in much faster than other sports. Since you don’t have to spend multiple days researching a game, you can see a game-by-game line and will know how far you’ll have to spread to hit your target.
It’s also nice to bet on the sport you love. No one likes to watch the sport they love on television. Betting on baseball lets you watch your team in action.
Home and Away are both head-to-head bets that are placed on the same team, but in opposite games or venues. For example, if you bet on the Yankees for the home game and the Red Sox for the away game, the bet is a home/away bet, or a “H/A.”
Parlay is a combined bet that bets on two or more games at the same betting window. For example, if you bet on the Red Sox and Green Bay Packers to both win at the same time, you’ve got a parlay.
So what are some of the most popular bets? The Chicago Cubs as chalk are the favorite most of the time. They'll make around 60%-70% of all bets. But you have to be wary of pitchers with killer or bad luck. As example, say a pitcher in the midseason rolls off seven consecutive wins. He will be getting closer to 60% of moneyline bets, and may be putting a low line on his team.
Unlike many other sports, betting on baseball is allowed all year round. But there are many different rules and house limits that you should know before placing a bet.
